GOVT. SEN. SEC. SCHOOL, JAUNAJI

Government Senior Secondary School Jaunaji is known for distinction in the field of education. It is situated in the midst of the greenery of village Jaunaji.

The school education started at Jaunaji with the opening of Primary school (upto 4th standard) in the house of Late Sh. Kanshi Ram Ji near the famous Chaturbhuj Temple of Lord Vishnu.Later the king of Bhagat province,Raja Durga Singh gifted the land to the school.The Senior Secondary School has been operational here since 1st April,1997.

Our school has been shaping the character personalities,careers and lives of hundred and thosands of students.Our purpose is all round development of a student and instill in them the basic principals of life, such as honesty and sincerity, truthfulness and justice, dedication and devotion to humanity.Thus we encourage the youth to express their ideas and take our country to new heights.  

 This school is situated on the Solan – Dharja road in the South-East of Solan City of (H.P.). Distance of this school from Solan is 12 km.   

                           A temple of Lord  ‘Vishnu’ and Lord Shiva is situated  in the village  and  the  specialiality of  this temple is that ‘Shivling’ is of  five faces , which is unique  in this region. Janamashtami  and Shivratri  fair gives opportunity to villagers to entertain  themselves. Acording to records available in the  primary school,it came into existence in 1945  in Pepsu state of  Punjab of that time.
